BetterYou DLux 3000 (£7.95 for 15ml)
Vitamin D has had a lot of press over the last few years. In fact, almost 95% of the Scottish population is deficient in the so-called “Sunshine vitamin”. Vitamin D is produced by the body when we expose our skin to sunlight – easier said than done on the average Winter’s day in Scotland! There are very few dietary sources of Vitamin D, with mushrooms being the best source. As a result, supplementation is considered an ideal solution. Vitamin D is fat soluble, so your body will store what it doesn’t need. Vitamin D helps the immune system by helping to activate your body’s T-cells and can be used for both prevention and helping with infections. BetterYou’s vitamin D supplements are of the D3 form – the form our body utilises best – and are in a handy oral spray. One spray a day is all you need and it has a great peppermint taste. Sprays deliver a higher rate of absorption when compared to tablets or capsules. Suitable for vegetarians, but not suitable for vegans (we do have vegan-friendly alternatives though).
